Catholic Wedding Music
Catholic wedding music needs to fit in with the rules of the church. My harp music has always fitted in perfectly, and quite often the minister will comment on how lovely it was to have it played in his church.
A Catholic ceremony can be lengthly, especially if there is a mass, so live wedding music interspersed throughout will add a bit of variety.
There are also times when the priest is busy preparing for different segments of the wedding ceremony, so it's nice to have music during these pauses.
As well as the usual places I play at a Wedding Ceremony, I am often asked to play the following extra times during a Catholic one:
- candle lighting
- offertory procession (presentation of gifts)
- sign of peace
- holy communion
I am more than happy to send a CD of my music to your church minister. Then you can be double-sure that the music fits in with their rules of suitability.
I have many years experience as an wedding entertainer and am happy to advise you on where music might fit best for your occasion.
