Beach Wedding
Wedding music performed on harp will add a very special touch to your beach wedding. The music is subtle and very romantic, so it works wonderfully.
This type of wedding differs from other weddings in that the beach wedding attire is usually informal and the occasion is generally more relaxed. There are also some extra considerations that may need to be addressed.
The Weather
Like all outdoor weddings, there should be a contingency plan for rain. Beaches are often open spots that can get windy, so everything needs to be tied down securely.
Sunburn is another factor and for this reason you might consider a morning or late afternoon ceremony. Otherwise try to provide lots of shade and suggest to your guests that they wear appropriate clothing and sunscreen.
Sand & Tide
If your guests are to be seated, be aware that the chairs are likely to sink into the sand. Providing some kind of floor will solve this problem.
Make sure you know when the tides come in and how far, so that the area doesn’t get flooded.
My Requirements
I can't have my harp in the direct sun, unless it’s early morning or late afternoon when the heat isn't so intense. Also rain is a problem, even light rain.
I also need some kind of flooring so that the harp and my chair don’t sink into the sand – it doesn’t need to be big. And if you could please provide a chair for me on the day (just a normal sized chair, with or without arms.)
